Luxury Shopping Haul and Tips

IMG_0560

Do you ever feel like you always over spend at your favorite store? Well today I want to shared with you my luxury shopping tips:

Tip 1: Know your budget
At the beginning of my search, I give myself a budget for beauty products, luxury items and fashion accessory. Know how much you can spend and be very disciplined to not spend over the set budget. This will allow you to have another budget for the next season!

Tip 2: Pre Shop
What is pre shop? Use the internet and help you find what you are looking for and how much you can save. i,e, Ebates offer third party online shopping and gives you 2% – 10 % cash rebate or current sales and coupons. I usually use this site for Sephora and Nordstrom online shopping. Remember, every little bit counts!

Tip 3: How will this item impact your total look
Do I really need these shoes? Do I realty need another handbag? I am sure you ask yourself this a lot haha. For me, I always do a mental inventory check and make sure the luxury item will improve or add versatility to my current wardrobe.

I hope these tips help you make a more budget conscious decision while you’re shopping.

Now, I want to show you what I purchased from Hawaii!

Fendi Demi Jours Mini Bird Crossbody Bag

My new philosophy on purchasing designer items is really based on limited editions either by season or quantity. Why? So it’s less likely I’ll walk into someone who has the same bag. I am sure you all have the same experience. I am sure it’s most awkward especially if they wear it better.  Another reason is that limited pieces retain value much better and they most likely won’t go on sale.

Speaking of limited edition bags, I recently purchased a Fendi Demi Jour Mini Bird Crossbody Bag from the spring 2015 bird themes resort collection. Just look at the bag! How can anyone say NO?! But what really sold me is when I found out there are only 80 pieces of this available in USA. Guess what I said? ” I’ll take it!” And of course, the sales person at Fendi was so nice and not pushy at all.

Who said purchasing a limited edition bag will break your bank?
I have been on a mission to find a limited edition designer item at a reasonable price! And I came across this Louise Vuitton 2015 Cruise Tribal Mask Collection!

TRIBAL MASK KEY POUCH $ 660
This collection is inspired by Gaston Vuitton’s Africa Tribal Mask back in 1931. For $660 you can own a limited edition piece from LV that is both cute and useful! This Key Pouch 5.5 x 3.1 is small but big enough to carry ID and cash. I would say this is prefect gift for your love one this holiday season.

Designer Men Shoes – Donald J Pliner

photo 16

Pascow Men’s Snake-Beaded Velvet Loafer, Burgundy

For a very long time, I never felt a need for designer shoes. The reason ? Well men shoes usually look alike so why spend so much money on it?!

This all changed when I purchased my first full price Jimmy Choo at Neiman Marcus. I have been collecting designer shoes ever since then. However, I have to say shoes are not a very good investment. But they will look very good in my closet… and for what I do! Dress to kill! Hehehe

While I was in Tampa, Florida, I purchased my first pair of Donald J Pliner at Neiman Marcus.
What caught my eyes were the beautiful details of the stone Snake. This is all hand-made, one stone at the time, craftsmanship from India. The bead embroidery is called “Karigar” Beaded embroidery. It’s like painting with beads. And the ruby red is the perfect match for the company I work for! So, I’ll look amazing on stage!

You will be surprised at how many people look at you from head to toe. That’s right! They all start with the shoes.  Well, I do that to other people. I believe that when some one has clean shoes, it shows that this person takes good care of himself.

This Donald J Pliner is the Donald Signature. Signature reflects the bold and eclectic Donald J Pliner brand heritage. European craftsmanship, exceptional style and Donald’s unique talents combined to create a world class design featuring exquisite materials and exclusive detailing.  As you can see from the images.
