Five Minutes Skincare for Men

shutterstock_287094866

I have received this question: How much time do I need for my skincare? 5 minutes, 10 minutes or 20 minutes? My thought is not how much time you need but what your skin concerns are and if you are using the right products for you skin conditions.

I like to share some of the budget friendly skin care for Combination Skin Condition: But first what is combination skin? Usually, it means you don’t have dryness or redness on your skin, you will feel a little oily on the face, especially on the T zone after lunch. No major issues of your skin.  I found these products from Sephora.com. I like their website because you select the best products based on your skin conditions and there are mnay options and reviews on their products.

GLAMGLOW Supercleanse and Thirstycleanse review

HomePage_Banner_Duoclensers_123014_FINAL

Many people don’t realize how important it is to have clean skin. Ask yourself this: do you take less than 3 minutes to wash your face? If your answers is YES, you probably don’t have a clean face. If your skin is not clean, all the skin care products and makeup will build on top of the skin. In fact, unclean face is one of biggest reasons we break out. Clean skin is important. “So how long do I need to wash my face?” or “What products should I use?”

Taking a longer time to wash the face is not the solution. Using the right cleanser is what you need. Know your skin condition before you purchased the cleanser.  Glamglow recently launched two (2) new face cleanser: supercleanse and thirstycelanse. After using both cleansers, I really liked them! They change from mud to foam which is very unique.

Supercleanse is great to use a few times per week for deep pores cleanse. This cleanser makes your skin feel so refreshed and clean. My tip is to use this mud cleanser as a mask. First, apply a large amount of mud on the face and avoid the eye area. Wait for few minutes, then add water and transform the mud to a cleanser. By the way, I love the eucalyptus smell! It’s so refreshing.

Supercleanse contains the following key ingredients:

  • TEAOXI® Technology (Eucalyptus Leaf Powder): Delivers natural eucalyptol, natural linalool oil, and powerful flavonoids to soothe and treat skin.
  • K17 and Mediterranean Clays: Detoxify, refine skin texture, and balance problem-prone skin.
  • Bamboo Charcoal: Provides balanced replenishment to the skin with essential bamboo minerals.
  • Black Cumin Seed Extract: Provides antimicrobial and antioxidant properties to help provide a more clear complexion.

The Thirstycleanse is designed for dry skin but I still feel a little to dry for my skin. So if you have very dry skin, I would recommend you use this only a few times a week but not daily. I also found that I like to use this mud cleanser as a hydration mask after any mud or clay mask.

Thirstycleanse contains the following key ingredients:

  • Brazilian yellow clay to help to remineralize the skin, pure green coconut water to immediately boost skin for intense hydration.
  • Olive milk rich in olive lipids and proteins to replenish skin.
  • Plumeria flower blossom extract rich in omega 3, 6, and 9 to restore the skin barrier function.
  • Indian gooseberry revitalizes and restores natural skin clarity while TEAOXI® olive leaf powder delivers natural linoleic acid to maintain moisture.

Glam Glow was famous for the mud treatment, but personally I found that it’s a bit pricey for their mud. So if you are on a budget, these cleaners would be a great way to experience them.

I only purchased 2 products to try. They are :
1. NT Cleansing Foam 4.5oz
This cleansing foam feels so smooth and soft while I wash my face but after I rinse it off with warm water, it makes my skin feel little dry ! I think this is for normal to oily skin.

2. NT Emulsion II  5.0 oz
The Emulsion is very liquidity and light weight; a little goes long way. There is not much scent in these products. I wish I can smell the Ginseng.

Over all, I feel this line is a good starters kit for someone has never used skin care before. Why ? Well, over all the consistency were light weight and the steps were not too complicated. Did I mention the package were so beautiful and fresh. As always, I recommend that you try out one or two products before you purchase a full line.

Skin Care Essentials – YouTube Teaser

I am very happy to premiere our brand new YouTube teaser video for my Skin Care Essentials series coming in January 2014. Skin care is my passion, so we at Mr. Jan All In One thought it would be perfect to start the new year off with a series on taking care of the most visible part of your body … your skin!

We exercise to keep our bodies in shape, we periodically see our doctors to make sure everything on the inside is working in good order, so why should we neglect our skin. Picking the correct cleanser for our particular skin, sorting through countless moisturizers to remedy a particular skin concern, and researching hundreds of skin care products to determine the best skin care regiment can be daunting. Over the next three months, I hope to guide you through this process and take away some of the concern over picking the correct products.
